Lorraine was born in Lima, Peru to a Peruvian mother & Peruvian-American father. And yes, despite her name, this chica is Latina. She came to the US at a very young age and was raised in Miami, FL. Inspired by her father's artistic endeavors, she pursued her passion and graduated with a degree in theater from Florida State University. While there she had the privilege of studying the dramatic arts in London, where she studied with writer/director Mark Wheatley, and members of Theatre De Complicite.
From 2001 through 2011, she worked with the experimental theater company Temporary Distortion , and performed at several venues in New York (P.S. 122, The Chocolate Factory, The Ontological-Hysteric Theater, CUNY's Prelude Festival) and internationally (Mois Multi and Usine C - Canada, The Via/Exit Festival & Théâtre Garonne- France, The Salzburg Festival - Austria, Trafó House of Contemporary Arts - Budapest). She was also seen in the film Welcome To Nowhere (official LES and Queens World Film Festival selections) and Mariposa (short). You can see her this fall in the independent feature Pop Meets the Void.
Also an experienced voiceover artist, Lorraine has recorded spots for GE & Onion Radio Network. She had the good fortune to be the voice of WNYC radio for seven years. She can also be heard in A Christmas Carol with F. Murray Abraham, Brian Cox, and Tony Roberts on radio station WQXR.
